About this property

Recently renovated chalet-style home located in Copake New York 10 minutes from Copake Lake. Modern design meets country living. Centrally located with access to the Berkshires, Hudson, Catamount Ski Resort, Bash Bish recreation area and more! This 3-bedroom, 2-bath home sits on 3.5 acres of landscaped grounds with beautiful western views, garden patio, wrap-around deck, fire pit, modern amenities, central air, and outdoor games. Set back from the road, the property is private and secluded. Renovated in 2021, the home features a grand common area, blending kitchen, living room, and dining in a large open room with 20 ft vaulted ceilings. The windows and the deck face west, with beautiful sunsets and natural light. There are two guest rooms and a shared bathroom on the main level, with a queen bed and two twins respectively. The primary suite is located on the upper level, atop the stairs and comes with a private bath, office area, and walk-in closet. There is also a private balcony looking east. On the lower level, there is a second fireplace in a cozy lounge for movies and games. There is a 4th unofficial bedroom off the lounge area with a queen bed. Outdoors there are two dining areas, one on the deck and another in the garden. We also have horseshoe games, and badminton to take advantage of the large, open green space. The property is set back from the road by a 1/4 mile dirt driveway. 4-wheel drive is recommended during the winter season. The driveway is plowed if there is more than 2 inches of snow on the ground. Guests will have access to the full home with the exception of a couple closets and the garage. I am available to answer any questions regarding the house or recommendations for the surrounding area. We had a great stay over New Years with another family and our combined 4 kids. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Austin was communicative and helpful. We chose it for its proximity to Catamount (10 mins) but after a day skiing there we went to Butternut (30 mins) and that turned out to be a better mountain for us. Minor setbacks include the dishwasher was not working (we notified Austin who responded right away) and the hot water was limited so we had to space out our showers. But it is a beautiful place I would recommend and think it would be great to stay at in warmer weather when you're able to comfortable use the outside area more.

Our stay was perfect! A++ for this beautiful A-frame home! My family and I had a very special Christmas vacation. The property was so beautiful and relaxing. Even in the cold weather we were outside with a fire and so happy! Lots of room for everyone and the basement was perfect for games and TV. We cooked many meals and enjoyed the open great room. Hudson was just a short drive away and the local town of Hillsdale was perfect for quick outings. Really a gem! Austin was a very good host! We will be back!

The perfect home for a weekend trip upstate! Austin was a fantastic host, and we felt right at home. The kitchen is well stocked, and there’s tons of games & activities to do on site. Quick drive to neighboring towns. Excellent stay all around!
