The Captain's Quarters is a one-of-a-kind rental experience at Copake Lake. Our 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment features high ceilings and spacious living areas with a fresh take on the lake house aesthetic. Enjoy our open kitchen, living and dining area thoughtfully appointed with an island bar, large table and comfortable seating area. In the morning, sip your coffee or tea out on the front porch as you take in the lakeside views! Please note that this property is an apartment that is part of a larger business entity that includes a marina (open seasonally) + bar and restaurant (under planning for renovation in the near future). Guests will have privacy in the apartment, exclusive access to the adjoining front porch, and a dedicated Solo Stove and 6 Adirondack chairs. While guests will not be bothered by customers of the business, it is important to know that there are public spaces nearby that may be busy during the day, including weekends. Copake Lake is a vibrant and welcoming community. Many homes have been passed down through generations, while others are new additions to the lake. We like to relax here, but we also like to have a good time! Come visit and see what we're all about. When facing the building, there is a large parking lot on the North (left) side and a smaller one for Airbnb guests on the South (right) side. You will have 2 dedicated parking spots in the smaller lot. Should you desire parking in the larger lot, that is not a problem. The lake area is very walking and bike friendly. Should you choose to venture out to a nearby town (Hillsdale, Hudson, Great Barrington) you will need a car. Disclaimers: -Cancellation Policy: We strictly follow the cancellation policy selected at booking. Airbnb offers travel insurance, which we recommend if you’re concerned about unexpected events. -Alterations: Reducing nights from your reservation is subject to the cancellation policy and may not be approved. Extensions are almost always welcome, though last-minute requests may require cleaner confirmation. -Regular Maintenance: Essential services, such as lawn care, snow removal, pool/hot tub cleaning (where applicable), and pest control, may occur during your stay. These vendors follow a regular schedule, though days and times can vary slightly. We kindly ask that you allow them to complete their work quickly so you can enjoy the rest of your day. -Damage: If something is damaged, please let us know right away. We value honesty and will work with you to find a fair resolution, whether the damage is minor or significant. -Wildlife: Our homes are often in rural areas, so you may encounter insects (bees, spiders, flies), small animals (squirrels, raccoons), and occasionally larger wildlife (deer, bears). Please be prepared for nature during your stay and remember they’re more afraid of you than you are of them. -Power & Internet Outages: Outages can happen in this area due to weather or other factors. Because they are out of our control, we do not provide refunds for these interruptions, but we’ll do our best to help you work around them. -Weather: Rain, wind, snow and extreme heat and humidity are possible depending on the season. Please plan your travel accordingly, as we cannot refund missed stays due to weather conditions preventing travel. -Additional Guests & Occupancy Limits: The listed occupancy applies to your entire stay, not just overnight guests. Accepted my cat just fine. Lovely place great location
Amazing location! view over the lake in the mornings was phenomenal - perfect for a getaway. close to catamount too for skiing.
We were very happy with the cabin. It has a great location - only 15 mins from Catamount Ski, 30 mins to Butternut Mtn. Within a 5-10 mins drive there are grocery stores, bars and restaurants. Right outside the cabin, we saw the beautiful and peaceful Copake Lake (and very nice sunsets). The cabin is extremely clean and cozy. Our host Austin is very responsive. Before we checked in we already received detailed information about the cabin (instructions and recommendations). During our stay he checked in with us a few times to make sure we were doing fine. Would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who's visiting the area.
